Get to Know Mehr the owner of CMA Salon
Mehrbano Zaidi Syed is a passionate and accomplished Cosmetologist, Makeup Artist, and Educator with a creative flair and an eye for detail. With a formal education in cosmetology from esteemed institutions like Paul Mitchell’s Tysons Corner (USA) and MARCA College (Canada), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in UI/UX Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Mehrbano seamlessly blends artistry with technical expertise.
Her career spans over a decade, during which she’s worked with prestigious brands like Sephora and Bobbi Brown, held leadership roles, and educated future beauty professionals. She has extensive experience in high-pressure environments and is known for her ability to connect with diverse teams and clients.
Mehrbano’s freelance work has taken her to the glamorous worlds of New York Fashion Week, DC Fashion Week, and various international beauty pageants. She’s worked with celebrities, actors, and even royalty, including Bollywood stars and the Princess of Saudi Arabia. Her talents also extend to special effects makeup, including body painting and creative character design.
She’s been published in notable fashion and beauty magazines, and collaborates with renowned designers and photographers. With a deep commitment to continuous learning, Mehrbano holds multiple certifications and has trained with elite artists, including Emmy Award-Winner Suzanne Patterson.

WHO WE ARE
Opening my own salon was the natural next step in a journey fueled by passion, creativity, and a deep love for beauty. After spending years in the industry—from fashion weeks to pageants, global brands to celebrity clients—I decided, I wanted to create a space that reflects my own vision: a place where artistry meets authenticity, and every client feels seen, heard, and made beautiful.
I opened my salon not just to offer hair and makeup services, but to build a community—a sanctuary where people can express themselves, explore new looks, and leave feeling empowered. My experiences taught me that beauty isn't just about the outside; it’s about confidence, self-expression, and transformation. I wanted to create an environment that nurtures all of that.
With my background in both Cosmetology and Design, I’ve poured my heart into curating a space that’s not only professional and stylish, but also warm, welcoming, and inclusive. My Salon is a reflection of everything I’ve learned and loved in this industry—and I’m proud to share that with every client who walks through my doors.
